Docents
Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse Docent Program is currently welcoming new volunteers to serve as Lighthouse Docents. Docents are volunteers who conduct tours of the lighthouse during our Open House events, explain the history of the lighthouse and interpret that history for our visitors, help with ticketing, and perform a myriad of other duties that are essential to our success.
If you like talking with people from all over the world, helping them to enjoy our beautiful Casco Bay region, and sharing lighthouse history, this is the job for you!
Docent training will be held this Spring, and no experience is necessary! Current volunteers are dedicated to keeping our lighthouse history alive by sharing their research, knowledge and stories.
