The mission of the Spring Point Ledge Light Trust is to preserve the Spring Point Ledge Light and to open the lighthouse to the public as often as possible and to educate people and especially children about the history and need for navigational aids.

Finance Committee Charter
The Finance Committee's Charter is to prepare an annual budget and financial
statements and submit them to the Board of Directors by or before its March meeting every year. It should include the Treasurer as a member. To seek and secure funding for the operation of the Trust by writing grant proposals, soliciting government agencies and businesses for grants and/or donations. Make reports to the Board of Directors as needed.
Maintenance Committee Charter
The Maintenance Committee's Charter is to maintain the lighthouse by scheduling
general cleaning, scheduling repairs as needed, and proposing major projects to the Board of Directors. To schedule and oversee the decorating of the lighthouse for special occasions such as holidays, etc. and the removal of decorations. Make reports to the Board of Directors as needed.
Operations Committee Charter
The Operations Committee's Charter is to assure that all openings and tours of the lighthouse are properly staffed and that the Protocol for Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse Openings is adhered to. To oversee the purchase and sale of lighthouse items, such as T-shirts, etc. All proceeds are reported to the Finance Committee and the Treasurer. Recruit and maintain Docents for the lighthouse and maintain a current listing of Docents. Make reports to the Board of Directors as needed.
Publicity Committee Charter
The Publicity Committee's Charter is to make known to the public all openings of
the lighthouse by both free and paid advertising to maintain adequate attendance at openings. To oversee the production and/or printing of materials to take advantage of summer tourists by land or sea. To keep the general pubic informed of the lighthouse activities. Make reports to the Board of Directors as needed.
